Excel Engineering
Overview

     Excel Engineering began in 2002 after Doug, his wife Darla and two daughters, Katie and Erin, moved back to their hometown of Diagonal, Iowa from Columbus, Indiana. Doug worked at Cummins Engine company for 9 years previously when they decided to move back closer to family. Doug started Excel Engineering with only himself and one other employee and one test cell. The business has now grown to 25 test cells in Diagonal, 10 in Detroit as well as the addition of a battery test cell center in Mt Ayr. It has also grown to over 50+ employees.​
